Objectives of the charity                             
As part of the DDYCA’s delivery plan we contribute to the delivery of educational and leisure activities for people of all ages, in particular targeting vulnerable disadvantaged people, thus promoting social inclusion and strengthening communities. Through working with a range of partners within the public and statutory sectors and voluntary sector we work with the young people, empowering them around the government agenda – ‘Things to do, places to go’.  
Darlington & District Youth & Community Association is a charity which is divided into three
divisions, which are

The DDYCA purchased an outdoor residential centre at Forest-in-Teesdale in February 2002. The High Force Centre provides various activity packages to people of all ages incorporating tailor- made programmes to meet he needs of the individual and budget,We can accommodate up to 28 people in the main house or groups of 10 people in the attached cottage.
We offer a wide range of packages, outdoor pursuits, leadership management courses, educational workshops, corporate events, murder mystery events, cookery lessons, painting classes and many more.  What ever the event activity you wish to do, we can organise it for you, making it hassle free for your organisation
Our outdoor pursuit’s packages include:
High Ropes, kayaking, gorge walking, abseiling, canoe orienteering,  Archery and many team building activities, thus giving people a chance to learn new skills in a wide range of different environments. People learn the benefits of team work to overcome a range of challenges in stimulating and imaginative settings, building self confidence and independence.
